Overview:
Build your career in Corporate Trust at Wilmington Trust. In this role, you'll partner with Relationship Managers to support a portfolio of Public Finance clients, including municipalities, counties, government agencies, housing authorities, and infrastructure projects. Acting as trustee and agent on these financings, Wilmington Trust helps clients manage complex transactions, and you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a flexible mindset, strong organizational skills, and a passion for building client relationships. As you grow in the role, you'll gain exposure to client management and develop into a trusted extension of the Relationship Manager team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support a portfolio of Corporate Trust and Public Finance clients, serving as a key contact for day-to-day requests and account administration.
Partner with Relationship Managers to deliver exceptional client service and support financing transactions.
Process and maintain account documentation, cash disbursements, account setups, and other transactional activities.
Utilize proprietary systems and reporting tools, including Excel, to support portfolio administration.
Coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution of client requests.
Build industry knowledge and develop an understanding of Public Finance and Corporate Trust products and services.
Identify issues, research solutions, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
Adhere to all risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 years’ relevant work experience with direct client contact,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years’ relevant work experience with direct client contact
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree focused on Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience with direct client contact
CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification if corporate trust focus
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $28.60 - $47.66 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
