About the Position
The Institutional Sales Analyst / Associate will support senior Relationship Managers to cover a regional territory by helping their Senior RMs progress clients through the sales funnel, as well as helping them service existing clients. This ranges from helping prospect (planning investor roadshows, obtaining client meetings for RMs, suggesting client engagement ideas), listening in on meetings to learn about the Fortress product suite, managing investor pipeline activity and tracking timely follow up of deliverables for clients. This Analyst / Associate will also work with other junior institutional sales team members to create and update various sales / fund resource material for the broader team.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-service driven, comfortable in a fast-paced alternatives/asset management environment, and a self-starter who is always curious to learn more and improve existing processes. Experience in Sales / Investor Relations at a leading alternatives platform is strongly preferred. FINRA-licensed is also preferred (or able to become licensed quickly).
Responsibilities
Relationship Manager Support (Core)
- Support senior Relationship Managers across the full investor lifecycle: outreach, diligence, onboarding, and ongoing servicing.
- Own meeting logistics and follow-up: meeting briefs, notes, action items, and timely investor communications.
- Maintain high-touch coverage of client and prospect requests, ensuring responsiveness and accuracy.
Due Diligence & Investor Requests
Work with senior Relationship Managers on creating the plan for client follow up, and then ensure all follow up and deliverables (i.e. DDQs/RFPs, ad hoc data requests, operational/legal follow ups) is completed by relevant Fortress internal teams in adherence with deadlines Reporting, Analytics & Customization
- Build and maintain recurring reporting and tracking packages for Relationship Managers and Sales leadership.
- Create clean, executive-ready dashboards and trackers (Excel/PowerPoint/CRM) that summarize pipeline, outreach activity, meeting outcomes, and next steps.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance sales outreach process, client engagement and follow up.
Pipeline Tracking & Client Lead Coverage
- Track and “cover” client leads by ensuring they are logged correctly, assigned, and progressed through the funnel.
- Maintain accurate CRM data hygiene: contact updates, meeting notes, opportunity stages, and activity tracking.
- Monitor follow-ups and deadlines; proactively surface stale opportunities, open diligence items, and bottlenecks.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and workflow automation to streamline CRM updates, diligence tracking, and internal sales support processes.
Institutional Sales Support
- Provide day-to-day sales support to the Institutional team: materials preparation, follow-ups, coordination of internal resources, and execution support for campaigns/roadshows.
- Assist with prospecting support (where applicable): list management, segmentation, and outreach coordination.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Institutional Sales Support, Client Service, or Alternatives distribution—manager / private credit / PE / real assets platform.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Economics, or related preferred).
- FINRA licenses required (e.g., Series 7 and Series 63); or ability to obtain quickly (state your firm’s requirement here).
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished client-facing judgment.
- Familiarity with alternative investments and institutional diligence processes (DDQs/RFPs, performance reporting, fund materials) strongly preferred.
