One of our companies is looking for an Outside Sales Representative

Compost360 is a fast-growing organics recycling and composting platform backed by The Sterling Group, serving the New York and New Jersey region with recycled soils, mulch, and compost products. Compost360 is scaling rapidly — expanding its site footprint, product lines, and customer base — with a clear mission: advance circular solutions, reduce landfill dependency, and turn organic material into valuable resources for the landscape, nursery, and construction markets we serve.

The Role:

Compost360 is looking for a driven, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to own territory growth across our soils and mulch product lines. You'll work a live pipeline while also self-sourcing new accounts, and you'll own the full sales cycle from first meeting to closed business.

This is a field-forward, relationship-driven role for someone who thrives on face-to-face selling, knows how to manage a territory like a business, and wants to be a core driver of Compost360's next stage of growth.

Responsibilities

Pipeline Ownership & Conversion — Process and prioritize qualified opportunities, and drive them to close through disciplined, timely follow-up.
Territory & Product Growth — Grow Compost360's footprint across assigned territory, with a specific focus on expanding soils SKU penetration alongside our core mulch business.
New Business Development — Self-source and prospect net-new accounts across landscaping, nursery, garden center, paver/cement, and general contracting segments.
Full-Cycle Selling — Run the complete sales process — discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close — delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Relationship Management — Build and deepen trust with customers and key stakeholders, growing wallet share within existing accounts over time.
Territory Strategy — Develop an efficient, high-density territory plan that targets the right regions, industries, and customer segments.
Collaboration & Reporting — Partner closely with sales and leadership on target accounts, pipeline health, market feedback, and performance.
CRM Discipline — Maintain accurate, current pipeline, account, and activity records.

Qualifications

2+ years of B2B outside/field sales experience, ideally in a consultative or solutions-based selling environment.
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, combining self-sourced and handed-off pipeline.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within an assigned territory.
Proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
