Job Description
The Finance and Accounting team is seeking asenior levelControllerforthe Public Credit Funds. ThisControllerwillbe responsible foroverseeing all financial and accounting operations, including managing financialreportingand tax, primarily for thesemi-liquid closed-endU.S. Direct Lending funds. TheControllerwill also ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, whileimplementing internal controls and financial procedures. This person will play a strategic role inadvising onfinancial implications of business decisions and supporting the funds’growth and expansion.Additionally,the Controllerworks closely with business stakeholders, including but not limited toboard members and trustees,investment professionals, portfolio management team, investor relations, legal,complianceandoperations as wellasexternal auditors,third party service providers,tax preparers,investorsand financial institutions.The Controllerwillhelpoversee,lead, anddevelopthePublic Creditaccounting teambased primarily in Los Angeles,Mumbaiand New York.The candidate must be a strategic thinker, resourceful, innovative, and committed. Thecandidate mustfocuson continuous improvement in collaboration, efficiency, andbuilding scalable processesin a fast-paced,high growthenvironment.
Supervises:Public CreditAccountingteammembers(around20 in the U.S and 14 in India)
Primary functions&responsibilities:
Review U.S. GAAP financial statements forvarious public entities, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K,Registration Statements, N-CSR, and N-CEN, forthesemi-liquid closed-endDirect Lendingfunds.
Lead the preparation of quarterly financial statement disclosures, including footnotes, Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and supporting analyses, ensuring accuracy,transparency, and compliance with SEC reporting requirements.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes forthe funds and their relevant subsidiaries, ensuring thetimelyandaccuratepreparation of financial reporting and regulatory filings.
Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, fund administration oversight, taxcoordinationand regulatory compliance activities.
Partner closely with investment professionals and portfolio management teamsand senior leadershipto provide strategic financial and operational insights that support decision-making forthefunds, investment transactions, and portfolio management activities.
Oversee and enhance the firm's control framework, ensuring effective processes and controls are in place to support financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, portfolio management, legal, tax, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient transaction execution, effective risk management, and seamless post-close integration.
Supportinvestorand fund due diligence processes by coordinating information requests, preparing materials, and ensuringtimely,accurateresponses to stakeholders.
Manage relationships with broker-dealers and distribution partners, coordinating investor subscription, tender, and redemption processes while ensuring operational efficiency anda high-quality investor experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree withmajorin Accounting, Economics, Finance, General Business or Management preferred
Experience supporting regulated funds, including registered investment companies, business development companies, or other ’40 Act vehicles is a plus.
Builds, leads, andmentorshighperforming, diverse teams. Consistentlyseeksto develop key reports and implement frameworks, processes, and systems to create leverage. Exhibits professional resolve in all aspects of work.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
