JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst with strong Aladdin platform expertise to support a strategic Aladdin implementation program for a leading asset management client. The role requires a dedicated implementation-oriented resource who can operate as a business analyst, project resource, and Aladdin SME throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The candidate will act as a trusted advisor to both business and project stakeholders, helping validate solution designs, challenge recommendations where appropriate, align target operating models, and ensure successful adoption of Aladdin best practices while meeting the client's business requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across investment management and operations functions.
- Prepare business requirements, process flows, and gap analysis documentation.
- Translate business needs into Aladdin functional and workflow requirements.
Aladdin Implementation SME
- Act as a subject matter expert on Aladdin functionality, workflows, and operating model.
- Review and validate BlackRock recommendations, configurations, and implementation designs.
- Provide guidance on platform capabilities, best practices, and implementation considerations.
Workflow & Operating Model Validation
- Assess existing business processes against Aladdin target-state workflows.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Validate proposed workflow changes and their impact on business operations.
- Support alignment with industry and Aladdin best practices.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Support implementation activities across requirements, design, testing, and deployment phases.
- Collaborate with business users, technology teams, BlackRock consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Track key dependencies, risks, and action items.
Testing & Change Management
- Support UAT planning, test execution, and business sign-off.
- Validate Aladdin configurations and workflow outcomes against requirements.
- Assist with issue resolution, user training, and change management activities.
- Ensure business readiness and successful adoption of the platform.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Strong understanding of front-office, middle-office, and investment operations processes.
- Deep knowledge of Aladdin platform functionality and implementation methodologies.
- Experience working with asset managers, institutional investors, pension funds, or wealth management firms.
- Ability to challenge solution recommendations constructively and provide alternative approaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with global teams and senior leadership.
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and workshop facilitation skills.
