REGAL professionals work closely with corporate management teams and financial sponsors on M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and strategic advisory assignments globally.
Position Overview:
Jefferies is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its REGAL team in Charlotte. Associates play a critical role in both transaction execution and business development efforts, working directly with senior bankers and clients on a broad range of strategic and financing assignments. The Associate will be expected to assume significant responsibility for financial analysis, client presentations, transaction execution, due diligence activities, and mentoring junior team members. This role offers substantial exposure to senior management teams and collaboration with product partners across M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade Debt, High Yield, and Restructuring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, including:
- Valuation analyses
- Three-statement operating models
- Pro forma merger and acquisition analyses
- REIT and real estate-specific analyses
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and strategic advisory presentations.
- Support execution of M&A, capital markets, and other strategic transactions.
- Conduct company, industry, and market research.
- Participate in due diligence sessions and management meetings.
- Draft and review marketing materials, including:
- Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs)
- Offering memoranda
- Investor presentations
- Registration statements and transaction documentation
- Coordinate workflows and oversee analyst work product.
- Prepare internal committee memoranda and transaction approval materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, and internal product partners.
- Manage multiple live transactions and marketing assignments simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of investment banking experience, preferably within real estate, lodging, gaming, REITs, or related sectors; or MBA with relevant investment banking experience.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Excellent analytical, written, and presentation abilities.

- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Prior experience advising real estate, REIT, lodging, gaming, or leisure clients.
- Experience executing M&A and capital markets transactions.

- Proven ability to supervise junior bankers and manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
