Job Description
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Fiduciary to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in NYC or Boston.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Administer and advise the Wealth Management team on interpretation of key trust provisions and fiduciary duties for client relationships
- Support the management and growth of existing client relationships with a strong focus on risk management and responsible business growth
- Meet with clients, co-trustees, beneficiaries, and external advisors to ensure BNY is adhering to the highest fiduciary standards
- Assess, identify, escalate, and help address risk-related issues while coordinating administrative activities across the Wealth Management team
- Interpret governing trust documents and partner with internal teams and outside advisors to support complex fiduciary relationships
- May support estate settlement and probate administration, or charitable account administration, depending on the assignment
- Independently evaluate new business opportunities and client prospects, generate referrals, and help drive new revenue through increased flows and future fees
- Serve as a consultative resource to UHNW and HNW clients on solutions aligned to their short- and long-term strategic objectives
- Support client service, fiduciary administration, business development, and compliance activities in alignment with applicable policies and procedures
- Mentor and train less experienced team members; may provide oversight of client services in some regions
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in fiduciary administration, including fiduciary taxation and administrative support for client relationships
- Strong knowledge of fiduciary practices, trust administration, and client servicing principles
- Experience working directly with clients, legal advisors, tax advisors, and internal partners in a high-touch environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risk, and follow through on assigned matters
- CTFA or CFP preferred
- Continuous learning mindset, with the ability to gain knowledge of policies and procedures to progress toward the Specialist role

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
