Role Description The Financial Advisor role in Hiawatha, IA is a full-time, on-site position focused on helping clients develop and pursue comprehensive financial plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to understand their goals, analyzing financial situations, and recommending strategies in areas such as retirement planning, investments, insurance, and wealth management. The role involves preparing and presenting financial proposals, monitoring portfolio performance, and adjusting recommendations in response to market conditions and life changes. Financial Advisors collaborate with internal partners and use Ameriprise tools and research to maintain compliance, document client interactions, and ensure a high standard of service. Ongoing responsibilities also include prospecting new clients, nurturing long-term relationships, and staying current with industry regulations and product offerings.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Investments, with the ability to analyze portfolios and market trends.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning to design comprehensive, long-term strategies for clients.
- Experience in Financial Advisory, including client relationship management and personalized guidance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a client-centered approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CFP®, ChFC®, or similar designations are preferred.
- Series 7, 66 (or equivalent) and applicable state insurance licenses, or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
- Strong ethical judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple client relationships, and meet business development goals.
