What You'll Do
As a Farmers Agency Owner, you'll:
- Build and operate your own multi-line insurance agency offering Auto, Home, Life, Commercial, Umbrella, and Specialty insurance products.
- Recruit, develop, and lead your own team of licensed insurance professionals.
- Grow your business through networking, community involvement, referrals, and strategic partnerships throughout the Greater Austin area.
- Manage your agency's operations, client experience, and long-term business growth.
- Create a legacy by building an asset you can grow.

Qualifications
- Approximately $100,000 in liquid capital for the standard Retail Program (alternative pathways are available for qualified candidates).
- Strong credit history and clean background.
- Ability to obtain or currently hold Texas Property & Casualty and Life insurance licenses.
- Previous experience in sales, leadership, or business ownership is preferred.
Alternative Paths to Agency Ownership
Not quite ready for the standard Retail Program? We offer additional opportunities to help qualified candidates become agency owners.
Protégé Program
Work alongside an established Farmers Agency Owner, receive hands-on training, gain valuable experience, and prepare to launch your own agency. Qualified graduates may have reduced or waived capital requirements.
Associate Agent Path
Build production within an existing Farmers agency while developing the skills and experience needed to transition into agency ownership.
Strong candidates with sales or leadership experience are encouraged to apply, even if they don't currently meet the standard capital requirement.
