What You'll Do
As a
Retirement Operations Specialist 1 in our Annuity Services area, you’ll work with business partners and our customers to coordinate new and existing annuity contracts. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who will thrive in an environment where the path may not always be clear. Here are a few examples of the things you'll do:
- Review and process annuity transactions, examples include new business, withdrawals, service requests, and death claims.
- Exercise strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and a positive experience for customers.
- Communicate with advisors via email to resolve outstanding issues.
- Work as a team to meet quality and timing goals.
- Implement problem solving techniques to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
- Identify and research unusual or complex situations and engage with others to resolve the request.
- Prioritize and process daily work to meet customer service goals.
- Share knowledge and information with team members to improve the overall effectiveness and development of the team.

Who You Are
- 1+ year of experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- High attention to detail and basic organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Skills that will help you stand out:
- Financial services industry experience.
- Strong math and interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office including excel.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$18.17 - $32.35 / hour

- Retirement Ops Specialist 1: $18.17 – $23.23 / hour
- Retirement Ops Specialist 2: $20.34 – $25.26 / hour
Des Moines, IA:
- Retirement Ops Specialist 1: $19.18 – $24.58 / hour
- Retirement Ops Specialist 2: $21.47 – $27.77 / hour
Charlotte, NC:
- Retirement Ops Specialist 1: $20.19 – $25.92 / hour
- Retirement Ops Specialist 2: $22.60 – $28.29 / hour
Chicago / Minneapolis:
- Retirement Ops Specialist 1: $22.21 – $27.62 / hour
- Retirement Ops Specialist 2: $24.86 – $31.32 / hour
Los Angeles / New York City:
- Retirement Ops Specialist 1: $24.23 – $30.31 / hour
- Retirement Ops Specialist 2: $27.12 – $32.35 / hour
Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Work Environments
This position has a strong preference for candidates located in the Des Moines, IA area. Candidates residing within 30 miles of the Des Moines office will be expected to work onsite at least one day per week. Remote work arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates outside the local market.
