Role Overview
Verition is seeking a motivated Operations Specialist to join its TRS Operations team. This role manages trade lifecycle events across an array of asset classes with a primary focus on Total Return Swaps, partnering closely with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk. The Specialist resolves day-to-day trade breaks across multiple swap counterparties, supports swap resets and trade bookings, and owns daily transaction, position, and cash reconciliations for TRS products in Geneva.
Responsibilities
- Manage trade lifecycle events across an array of asset classes with a primary focus on Total Return Swaps, partnering with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk.
- Resolve day-to-day trade breaks across multiple swap counterparties, working with front office and global operations teams to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support swap resets, trade bookings, corporate action processing, and P&L inquiries; perform daily reconciliations in Geneva.
- Review daily transaction, position, and cash reconciliations for TRS products.
- Identify process gaps and partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
- Help senior management streamline workflows and minimize operational risk by keeping sight of big-picture objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform thorough due diligence to fully resolve issues in a timely manner, avoiding financial or reputational impact.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices to help develop effective operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably with a concentration in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
- Several years of relevant work experience in fund or trade operations.
- Knowledge of Geneva preferred.
- General knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, FX) across domestic and global securities markets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 (USD). In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as geographic location, work experience, qualifications, and skill level.
