What You’ll Be Doing
Join our Loan Services team in a primarily back-office operational role focused on the accuracy, integrity, and quality control of commercial loan records. This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on lending experience who is comfortable reviewing detailed loan documentation, interpreting lending terminology, and validating that loan data is accurately reflected in core systems.
This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with 2 days per week on-site and the remainder remote.
A significant portion of the role involves reviewing attorney-prepared loan documents and comparing key data points from executed documentation to the loan system. The work is centered in the commercial lending space, and exposure to syndicated credits is highly valued.
This is a detail-intensive role with clear service level expectations and a strong emphasis on documentation accuracy, operational controls, and post-booking review.
Quality Assurance & Data Integrity
- Conduct daily quality assurance reviews on loans entered into core loan origination and servicing systems, including ACBS, IBS, SBA, and ASPIRE.
- Compare executed legal documents to system data to ensure all relevant loan information has been accurately captured and booked.
- Review documentation such as Credit Agreements, Notes, Lease Agreements, amendments, and related supporting materials for completeness and consistency.
- Interpret loan terms and conditions to validate that critical data elements are correctly reflected in the system.
- Identify discrepancies promptly, document issues clearly, and initiate or escalate corrections as needed.
- Complete quality assurance reviews within established turnaround expectations, including a 10-day service level agreement (SLA).
Post-Booking Review & Compliance
- Review and validate all post-booking and post-funding changes to loan records within a 5-day SLA.
- Confirm that updates are supported by executed documentation and properly reflected in the applicable loan system.
- Ensure all changes comply with internal procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain a strong focus on data integrity, operational accuracy, and risk awareness throughout the review process.
Commercial Loan Operations Support
- Support operational processing for commercial lending transactions in a high-control environment.
- Review documentation for Fast Track Loans to verify completeness and accuracy prior to downstream processing.
- Forward fully executed loan packages to the Collateral Team for secure scanning and record retention.
- Issue cashier’s checks to Loan Operations team members in accordance with established internal controls.
- Support documentation review for more complex commercial credits, including syndicated loan transactions, where applicable.
Who You Are
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a lending-related role.
- You bring strong experience reviewing and interpreting loan documentation, ideally within commercial lending.
- You are comfortable working with attorney-prepared documents and can accurately interpret lending terminology, structures, and conditions.
- You have strong attention to detail and are skilled at comparing data across documents and systems to identify discrepancies.
- You understand the importance of operational controls, documentation quality, and meeting service-level expectations.
- You bring transferable skills from loan closing, loan servicing, loan operations, or other lending support functions.
- You have demonstrated growth and increased responsibility in the lending space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial lending operations
- Exposure to syndicated credits
