Evolution Credit Partners, a Boston-based alternative credit manager founded in 2018 with an office in New York City, provides custom financing solutions across the capital structure for private and public companies. We offer a flexible suite of products across the capital structure and use cases including cash flow facilities, asset-based facilities and short-term facilities designed to help businesses address their liquidity needs, support growth, optimize capital structures, create working capital efficiency and allow counterparties to maintain critical commercial relationships.
Role Description:
Evolution Credit Partners is seeking a highly motivated Investment Associate to play a key role across the full lifecycle of a transaction, from origination, underwriting, and structuring to execution and portfolio management. With a flexible mandate to deploy capital across our three core investment strategies—Capital Solutions, Working Capital Finance, and Risk Solutions—the Associate will work across a wide array of credit instruments and strategies, as well as varying levels of complexity, including stressed and distressed opportunities.
Partnering primarily with the Managing Director responsible for international investments and coordinating closely with other members of the investment team, this individual will have a significant focus on Evolution's International Investment Strategy, while also supporting U.S. financings across our three core investment strategies. The role includes day-to-day relationship management with key stakeholders at portfolio companies and other relevant counterparties.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in public or private credit investing and special situations who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is looking to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing, growing platform. The Associate will also take on responsibilities spanning investing, business development, investor relations, and other strategic initiatives that reflect the firm's entrepreneurial culture.
The role will entail the following:
- Fundamental Investment Research: conduct deep research on companies, industries, business models to identify key credit considerations and risk-adjusted opportunities.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build detailed financial models and perform robust valuation analysis, credit underwriting, and scenario planning to support investment decisions for our funds across our investment strategies. Assess absolute and relative value across products and capital structures.
- Investment Execution: Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior team members and the Investment Committee. Work with team members and legal counsel to structure transaction terms, covenants, and security packages.
- Portfolio Management: track performance of existing portfolio companies, competitors, and industry. Maintain detailed financial models and identify emerging risks and opportunities for add-on investments and cross-selling.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with company management teams, legal advisors, consultants, and other external parties to facilitate diligence and transaction execution.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in public or private credit investing, credit opportunities, special situations, private equity, or restructuring
- Proficiency in financial modeling and a strong understanding of finance fundamentals
- Hands-on experience applying AI and large language models (LLMs) to investment processes, including company research, financial analysis, industry monitoring, data synthesis, and workflow automation
- Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting due diligence
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and propose actionable investment recommendations
- Demonstrated experience working on international transactions, cross-border investments, or with international counterparties, coupled with strong intercultural awareness and intellectual curiosity
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
