Your role
Are you looking for role guiding families of exceptional financial success on matters related to doing good with wealth for loved ones and the communities they care about? Reporting to the Head of Family Advisory & Philanthropy Services, U.S., you’ll operate within the UHNW coverage and advisory model as an extension of the Financial Advisor team. You’ll support clients across the full lifecycle, from early liquidity and succession planning through ongoing multigenerational stewardship.
You’ll be deployed selectively where family complexity, scale, and opportunity require deeper engagement, and where early involvement can shape long term outcomes for both clients and UBS.
You’ll also work as part of the global Social Impact & Philanthropy team, collaborating across regions and with colleagues in sustainability, impact investing, and social finance to build and scale solutions that advance the impact economy.
As a Senior Strategist you will:
- partner with Financial Advisors to identify opportunities for family advisory and philanthropy conversations and engage spouses, rising generations, and future decision makers early
- design and lead client engagements across governance, decision making, succession, leadership transition, next generation development, and family culture
- translate discovery discussions into practical outputs such as governance recommendations, decision frameworks, succession roadmaps, family meeting agendas, multigenerational engagement plans, and philanthropy strategies
- maintain momentum after meetings by clarifying decisions, ownership, and next steps, helping families move from intent to action
- increase adoption of the UBS Optimus Foundation as a platform for high-impact philanthropy where relevant
- act as a thought leader through client events and content
- track and report advisor and client activity in line with UHNW Advisory requirements, helping expand advisory scope, retention, and wallet share
- contribute to the ongoing development of Social Impact & Philanthropy offerings
- connect teams and capabilities across UBS
