We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Trader focused on relative value in the High Yield, Stressed, Distressed and Opportunistic Credit spaces. The primary responsibilities of this position will include working closely with Portfolio Managers to trade investments, monitor asset performance, source external ideas, and provide the senior investment team with detailed analytics, screening, and liquidity analysis of investments.
Responsibilities:
- Trade high yield bonds, leveraged loans, on both par and distressed documents, credit derivatives, common and reorganized equity
- Implementation and best execution of all mandates
- Maintain strong counterparty relationships with daily interaction across sales, trading and syndicate
- Source and develop investment ideas through fundamental and relative value
- Build and maintain screening tools to identify opportunities, monitor markets, and support investment decision-making
- Work collaboratively with investment, research, legal, operations, and technology professionals across the firm to drive successful implementation of investment strategies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience including expertise trading high yield bonds, leveraged loans, stressed credit, and related derivatives and equity. Long and short
- Buy side experience preferred
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
- Solution-oriented, intellectually curious, hard-working
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective presentation skills to share analysis with senior investment professionals
Current anticipated annual base salary range: $200k - $250k
Base salary within the range will be determined by various factors including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills and qualifications
