Hedge Fund Operations Experience Required: 3–7 Years
POSITION
Our client is a top-performing NYC-based hedge fund running an event-driven / special-situations credit and equities strategy with over $3 billion in AUM.
The team is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Operations Associate to join its high-performing team. This is a hands-on role covering the full middle/back-office lifecycle across bank debt, liquid credit, and public equities, with direct exposure to senior finance leadership and daily interaction with trading, fund admin, and prime brokerage counterparts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trade Capture & Lifecycle Management: Support end-to-end operational processing for bank debt/loans, liquid credit, and equity trades, including settlements, funding notices, and administrative agent communications
- Daily Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations across Enfusion (internal books), HedgeServ (fund administrator), prime brokers, and custodian banks for positions, cash, and collateral
- P&L & Performance Monitoring: Help maintain and verify intraday and end-of-day P&L using Enfusion and Bloomberg, investigating and resolving pricing or accrual discrepancies promptly — the desk relies on real-time visibility
- Treasury & Cash Management: Assist with daily cash forecasting, margin/collateral movements, FX exposures, and wire preparation
- Interest & Valuation Calculations: Work through bank debt interest accruals and other credit-related calculations with precision
- Systems & Reporting: Build proficiency in Enfusion and HedgeServ; use advanced Excel to streamline reporting and month-end close workflows
REQUIREMENTS
- 3–6 years of middle-office, trade support, or fund operations experience at a hedge fund or alternative asset manager
- Working knowledge of bank debt/loan mechanics and credit products; exposure to public equities is a plus
- Prior hands-on experience with Enfusion and/or HedgeServ is a plus
- Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (large reconciliations, lookup/aggregation formulas)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
